Upcoming Coffee and Conversations: Grad School 101 Live Panel Discussion at the National Conference
Join us on June 20th at 4:30pm MDT for Grad School 101! We will host a live panel discussion about preparing for, applying for, and succeeding in graduate school at the National Conference in South Dakota. We will also stream it via Google Hangouts so you can register to join us and/or get the recording afterward. This is a free event designed for undergraduates interested in graduate school, graduate students, and anyone who mentors undergraduate or graduate students! The American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) has opened the application period for the AAAS IF/THEN Ambassadors program which will bring together 100 women from a variety of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) careers to serve as high-profile role models for middle school girls.

Chapter News

The new GWIS Nashville Chapter had a great turnout at the kickoff event on April 11th, 2019 at Vanderbilt University. The current executive board members of the chapter can be seen in the attached picture: (left to right) Yev, Kacie, Nikki, Anna, Alisa, Jessica, and Deb.

Los Angeles Chapter found a great way to de-stress by attending kitten yoga together on May 25th. Cats on Mats hosted and Kitty Bungalow Charm School for Wayward Cats supplied the kittens.  More photos can be found on the chapter's Facebook page.
